Masada
According to historical documents Masada was fortified by King Herod and strewn with palaces by the ancient king. It was considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. There is an archaeological museum known as Masada Museum. There one may find archaeological treasures unearthed by Israeli archaeologist Yigael Yadin. The museum is located at a Masada National Park and includes very steep hiking paths.
The Negev
The Negev is a desert region located in the southern part of Israel. Negev dates back to the ancient world, especially in terms of Jewish history. This is a region that Abraham traveled to after being banished from Egypt. It was later developed in the 4th century BC by the Nabateans and established as an important trade route.
